Why paintless is the standard approach for hail

Hail dents are typically shallow and rounded with intact paint, which is what PDR handles best. Repainting a full roof, hood, and deck lid is expensive, can create color-match issues, and replaces factory finish with a refinish. Working the dents out from behind keeps the factory paint on the vehicle.
